Eight Pattonville High School students who collaborated on a video took two top prizes in the Show-Me Manufacturing video competition sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The following students in Darrell Langston and Jonathan Saettele's industrial technology classes earned the People's Choice Award and first place overall: Joseph Kasprzyk, Nolan McAllister, Alizabeth Parsons, Nick Rauscher, Samuel Risenhoover, Peter Royer, Hunter Voris and Brandon Wheeler. Students had to create a three-minute video explaining what makes manufacturing so cool, said Langston.

Students visited CAPS Inc. in Earth City and recorded video segments of the different machines the company uses to manufacture plastic parts. They then created a video and entered it in the competition, where it was voted on by manufacturing companies and the public. Pattonville's video received the most likes, earning it the People's Choice Award. Judges at the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry voted and also awarded Pattonville students first place for the video competition.
