Ten volunteers and staff members have been chosen to receive the Pride of Pattonville Award in recognition for outstanding service to Pattonville students and schools. They are:

  • Brian Bateman, Pattonville High School Robotics Club volunteer mentor;
  • Sue Boswell, activities department secretary at Pattonville High School;
  • Joyce Bowdish, call center coordinator at the Pattonville Learning Center;
  • Mary Jo Crabtree, district substitute;
  • JoAnn Greenwell, curriculum and instruction specialist at the Pattonville Learning Center;
  • Michele Hill, English learner (EL) teacher at Willow Brook Elementary School;
  • Melynda Lamb, choir teacher at Pattonville High School;
  • Mike Siebe, district social worker;
  • Sue Stricklin, parent volunteer; and
  • Lois Westbrook, district substitute.
Each year, the Pattonville School District honors those who serve in the district with its Pride of Pattonville Award. Honorees are chosen based on excellence in performance, service, character and contributions to the district. Any district parent, volunteer, employee or other friend of Pattonville is eligible to receive a Pride of Pattonville honor. A screening committee consisting of Pride of Pattonville Award recipients from the last two years selects the recipients from nominations submitted throughout the month of February. A maximum of 10 awards is given each year.

This year's honorees will be recognized on May 7 at Pattonville’s annual District Appreciation Night. During the event, retiring staff members, employees with milestone years of service and parent volunteers are honored and the district’s Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Employee of the Year are named.
