Students are introduced to Zones of Regulation by the school counselors in all grade levels. Zones of Regulation is a great resource for understanding how and why we regulate our emotional reactions. Watch the video below to learn more!

Students participate in social emotional learning in all grades.  For students in grades K-5 we use the Second Step program to introduce various social-emotional topics and to practice the skills needed.  Teachers lead the class through most of the units, and the counselors teach a unit on bullying.

Coping Skills - Kids need to learn skills to manage their emotions in a healthy way. It’s important to teach them coping skills that can help them face their fears, calm themselves down, and cheer themselves up.
