|Pattonville schools to take part in district-wide St. Baldrick's shave event|
|Monday, March 10, 2014|
More than 200 students, staff, families and community members have signed up to take part in a district-wide head shaving event at Holman Middle School from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 15 to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research. All nine schools in the Pattonville School District, along with the Pattonville Learning Center, are participating and have volunteers who have signed up to have their hair cut or heads shaved. These participants are raising funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven children’s cancer charity that raises funds by hosting head-shaving events worldwide. Volunteers collect pledges to shave their heads in solidarity with children with cancer. For more information, visit Pattonville’s St. Baldrick’s event page at www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/9296/2014. The entire community is invited to attend the event, which will also feature food trucks and live music.
